Threats to India: Gurpatwant Singh Pannu’s Call for Protests Outside Indian Embassies in Opposition to Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s Murder
In a recent video release, terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, hiding abroad as part of the Sikh For Justice (SFJ) group, has once again issued a threat to India. Just days after maintaining a seemingly calm demeanor, Pannu has announced plans to organize rallies outside Indian embassies worldwide on 8th July, in protest against the murder of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The assassination of Nijjar, an influential figure within the SFJ in Canada, has led to significant setbacks for Pannu. Holding Indian intelligence agencies responsible, Pannu has resorted to hurling abuses and issuing threats against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Following the murder of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who held a prominent position within the SFJ in Canada, Pannu has suffered substantial losses. Blaming Indian intelligence agencies for Nijjar’s death, Pannu has engaged in a series of verbal attacks and threats directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Now, in a newly released video, Pannu has declared his intention to hold protests outside Indian embassies in various countries, including Canada, the United States, Australia, England, and European nations, on 8th July. These rallies, named “Kill Bharat,” are expected to feature a contingent of 21 Sikh individuals who will not only protest outside Indian embassies but also disrespect the Indian national flag.
On 18th June, after carrying out terrorist activities in India, Hardeep Singh Nijjar fled the country, resorting to the use of a fake passport. He sought refuge in the Sarai Guru Nanak Gurudwara located in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, where he assumed a leadership role. However, it was outside this very Gurudwara’s parking lot that Nijjar was fatally shot by two unknown assailants on bikes. This incident left the Sikh community shocked and raised concerns about the presence of extremist elements within their ranks. Pannu’s reaction to Nijjar’s murder has been to intensify his anti-India rhetoric and resort to threats against Indian leaders.
